This is the statement Smith gave. The proteas are not good enough.
But is that true when you dont even try to win.
If thats true, why do we always play the same team over and over. Try the same combinations over and over.
Even though i am not a fan of Bosman, why is Amla and him given one chance while the rest are given more.
In ODI's Amla's average is better than that of Gibbs and Smith, but he is never included (except for when Smith breaks his jelly fingers).
Does the trio of Smith, Kallis and Gibbs bullie the management and rest of the team.
Is this the reason why Albie never give a damn yesterday, cos he was just sick of them.
To our bowling attack, who are the most promising in the world, why do we keep failing except in tests.
We keep firing hot and cold with no stability - a contrast to our batting. This is where we need Pollock or someone like Morkel to take his place.
And to Smith's bowling changes - my word is he awful. Does he really stick to what is planned in the dressing room.
Yes Cronje had his faults, but he always played to win. Would he change to spin (in particular one spinner who has been getting the wrong end of the stick) when the seamers were on top.
Lastly, why play Smith, Gibbs and Kallis together in T20. Do they know its 20 overs and 60 runs on 10 overs puts pressure on the rest of team to always get say 100 in 10.
To my question above, yes the Porteas are good enough, but the current team is not.
