Are there plans for faster internet?

Are there any plans to launch faster Internet to consumers? Even the Flex option is not quick enough when compared to the likes of HSDPA.

Is Fibre on the cards for us in the future? I know the last quote I got from Neotel for a Fibre connection was over R20K. Are there other technologies that might fill this need wirelessly that you are looking at?

You are laying cable all over the place... there's one going right past my office. Will we be able to tap into that as consumers for a reasonable cost? It seems like a good way to get rid of all these wireless issues everyone is having.

Just curious what the future plans for fast / reliable / low latency internet are.

I dont know about fiber, but I've got a mate in Australia and he's using a CDMA rev C thingy, which is apparently what neotel is meant to upgrade us consumers to in the near future....

He gets a perma 22meg line and pings of 20ms.... wish we could have that now and working :/
