Your downstream attenuation could be a little lower (36 or so) but otherwise it all looks within the average ranges.

Try downloading file from ftp://ftp.is.co.za and see what speeds you get. You should be able to max you line if everything is working properly.

Good Luck :-)

Weird my settings changed:
DSP FirmwareVersion DMT FwVer: 3.6.0.1_A_TC, HwVer:T14F7_1.0
DMT Status Up
Operational Mode ADSL G.Dmt

Downstream 4096 kbps

Attenuation (Upstream) 21.0 db
Attenuation (Downstream) 36.0 db

What sort of speed are you getting? Your downstream noise margin is way up from earlier. I still think you should be able to get full line speed, if your contention ratio is not too high.

When did you get this line installed?

herbertk is right, you getting great speeds then. I wouldn't worry about your line at all. I believe envy is the correct word here :p

I suppose it is possible since telkom may be testing out 8/10/12meg in your area, but only 200KB/s extra makes me think not. Unfortunately there are too many factors to take into account. It could be that you are on a relatively new exchange and your contention ratio is super low, but then from my experience it should only be burst speeds and not a constant speed. I reckon you just got lucky and possibly have a buggy exchange thats not limiting your connection properly. Either way, enjoy what you are getting for now, and i think when 10meg rolls out for sure, i dont think you WONT be able to get it :)
