This is such a sad advertisement for a country that is so awesome in so many ways. Is crime killing South Africa?

Pretoria - Two tourists from Tokyo who arrived in South Africa on Saturday, had to dodge bullets shortly after arrival when four men on the R21 highway started firing at them and their South African hostess.

The attackers are believed to have followed the woman and the two Japanese from Johannesburg International Airport and started firing at them near the Tembisa off-ramp.

this will only make the ppl more aware of SA, since lot of ppl dont even know of the existance of SA.

I think that hostess deserves a medal. She kept her cool and probably saved those Jappies lives.

Yeah it's amazing how all the newspapers talk about tourist growth yet we always hear of tourists getting attacked!

It's probably all the stupid travel agencies that are talking about when you visit SA, it's a lovely and peaceful place.

I wonder if they advertise all the shacks when you just come out of CT airport?
