Thank you guys for this forum!

I didnt realise how bad things were with ADSL (I.R.T. T3lk0m) until I began reading up about it here...

I've noticed that this forum is a place where people realise how badly they are getting ripped off, and then blow off that steam by cursing, in ever more inventive ways... -> :(

But the question ultimately is, are we getting anywhere?

ICASA seems to have little effect on Telkom. I'll admit that they're just beginning to take T3lk0m on, and in the long term, will be good for our ADSL industry... The regulator they may be, but T3lk0ms punch can definitely take them on...

The idea of an advert to increase awareness is brilliant! Only mass awareness can put pressure on T3lk0m, and back up ICASA.

One final thought... There are probably a few people right at the top swimming in luxury thanks to T3lk0ms profits... People with deep pockets, & EVEN higher connections, and who're not afraid to use either to keep what they got. If you know anything about the way things work at their level, you'll know that those two factors will get you very far. Especially in our country. Until we can control these individuals, we will continue to have poor quality of service. Basically, "Why improve service when we can keep this money for ourselves?!"

Thanks to all for keeping us up to date. Knowledge is power!

Fight the good fight! ;)

We know to well about the power of the people at the top. But the power of the people in the middle combined with the power of the people at the bottom can overcome that if focussed.

Those who see price reductions in telecoms prices as a benefit for the middle classes and the rich are extremely short sighted. Cheaper telecoms in our country has the potential to be the single biggest driver for economic development and prosperity.

Thanks for joining!
