Are white people hypocrites?

It has always seemed to me that Gareth is one of those self loathing white guys. The type that, in an attempt to prove his balanced and open views on racism, is actually more racist to his own demographic.

I think that he has valid opinions sometimes but very often he is just making a noise for noise's sake. This subject for instance. Why did he target only white people in the statement, when it can be equally if not more true of some other races in SA.

There does need to be some solidarity in SA. It needs to cross all racial lines and unite everyone. Until the government's, and therefore the majority of the people's, stance is one of equality, people will always feel separated from the whole.

Ye regarding speeding fines, I never paid a single one of mine. And I say that proudly and with no remorse whatsoever. I am not saying that I raced around like a twit. I probably got 1 fine a year or so, never more than 20 kph over the speed limit. My philosophy on it is that paying the fine does not assist society in any way, because that money does not go towards any policing unit that actually works. Metro never did anything to make the roads safer. They always pull over the rich looking guy but leave the taxi or the truck because they wont have money to pay.

I withheld my money and waited for them to come and find me. To me, if they could show enough competence to find me, then they earned my respect and therefore my money. Until such time, their lack of effort simply showed their incompetence and I wont fund incompetence.

If anyone thinks that that somehow contributed to the crime in the country, then they can go play on the highway and smoke their socks.

Both. Sure you get guys on both sides that can get away with it due to connections/bribes etc but those aren't the majority.
 
Sure you get white hypocrites. You also get black hypocrites. And coloured. And Indian. Heck just about every Indian I know is one, myself included.

People are like that. We prefer to have one set of rules for ourselves. And another one for the rest of the world.

White guilt is a prerequisite for being in the 'entertainment' industry
 
Yeah white people are hypocrites sometimes. They always complain and wish that poor black must stop breeding like rats since tax payers are the ones paying for them. Those same white people will not give up their CO2 emitting 4x4s and SUVs, they won't give up eating meat (meat comes from cows and cows emit methane) even though they know it indirectly contributes to climate change.

With that said, EVERYONE is a hypocrite one way or the other, myself included.
