What?

It was in the fridge.
It was on the fridge.

Put the cucumber on your bum
Put the cucumber in your bum.
 
You guys are on the ball.
You guys are in the ball - doesn't work.
 
I was in your mum.
I was on your mum.

Same thing so, yes. Case closed.
 
What about in time or on time?

On time = Means at the expected time, at the appointed time.
In time = Means sufficiently early.

That's why I asked the question whether the words in and on are interchangeable or not.
