My trigger is water.

The moment we have to get water backup and we have "water shedding" - my house is on the market and i'm out of here. I can live in Europe (citizen) but I prefer the USA which will be tricky as I don't have employment there atm thought i'm working on setting something up as a backup.

Ive heard if you can work for yourself its easier to get in

We are always considering it but family and the family business keep us here for now. he UK is the logical choice for us since I am a British citizen along with my brothers, my wife is busy with her application, my father is British and my inlaws except for my BIL are all British citizen's.

You seem all sorted and could leave any minute

I do have my own company but that also comes with a lot of red tape when it comes to setting up shop in US (even Europe for that matter). Especially since 90% of my clients are accross Africa...
in which case I guess southern europe makes sense.

Oddly, I would actually not be against moving to Zambia, or Mozambique etc - yes they have problems but it feels less like the "we don't give a F" attitude from their Governments.

What about Namibia for you?

We can roll out of here at very short notice. Europe or Murica! Hope we don't get to the point that we need to leave, we like this shithole with all its difficulties!

Already left. I have spent a few years building a nest egg for my family in SA, should they need to leave in a hurry. Hopefully it never comes to that though.
