Exactly.... Japan don't want / need that.
They exist in Japan whether they want them to or not. Same with people bringing their religions with them. Japan doesn't actually stop either of these things. They may make some token effort at doing so, but they're not succeeding. It's ultimately not possible to prevent people bringing their culture with them. Japan might insist on making sure people learn Japanese culture, but if they're going to take in immigrants those people are going to bring their culture into Japan too.

That's the irony isn't it..
If a western culture were to be strict on culture, they'd be called racist.
There is no irony in the fact that countries that are themselves made up of immigrants look unreasonable if they tell modern immigrants not to bring their culture with them. The United States in particular has never had an homogenous culture.

Got ton of extended family there as citizens - they seem happy. What are your objections to UK life ? Curious to know.
Have lots of family there, grans, aunts, uncles - the weather is a big factor, we are extremely lucky with our weather and way of life here. also being someone who has their own business here, there is a lot of red tape over there in order to run a business.

Having said that, lots of people who have kids and have moved there from here are happy. so it all depends on what stage you are at in your life. Personally, I wanna stick it out here until we have to leave. But recent months have been challenging with the way the country is falling of a cliff.

I suppose it would depend on the person's religion. Japan is already well covered when it comes to providing religious venues for Christians, Muslims, Hindus and Jews.

There is generally a hierachy of expat/foreigner treatment.

Japan is accepting foreigners (reluctantly so) due to its aging population. However, generally treatment is a bit better if you are a white westerner and they will make more of an effort to accomodate you. Some are also very positive towards black Americans.

For others, while they will be accepted, they have to work harder to gain acceptance.

A lot of it has to do with the USA social engineering the place after the war. But overall, Japan is much better than the rest of Asia in this regard. It can be cringe and very blatant in other parts.

Plenty of UK people leaving UK to go other places as they don't feel comfortable with migration so you might as well stay here.

They are moving because their culture feels under threat which is funny considering they pushed their culture on to the rest of the world back in the day. I would say move, just somewhere with power and with similar ideals/culture

This also depends. I quite enjoy being immersed in totally different cultures. It does lead to awkward moments which is part of the process so it is not for everyone but it can also be very rewarding.
