Let’s talk neurodivergence. Whether you’ve got a diagnosis, a strong suspicion, or just feel like your brain is running on a different operating system, this one’s for you.

Vote in the poll and feel free to share your story or just your favourite hyperfixation in the comments.

I will say this: the sheer proportion of people I encounter these days that claim some sort of spectrum/autism/ADHD/<fill in the next fad here> is staggering vs even just a decade ago

it can only be one, or a combination of:
- we started dosing / inbreeding / the covid vax or some kak is causing disproportionately high cases the world's never seen before
- it's all BS, a fad, what do you expect when you see a psych major for a diagnosis ... for them to say you're all fine?!?

Where is the option for “Nope, normal, and fed up with all these ADHD nerds who spam bull**** on the forum and then run off to chase dopamine on Pornhub instead of staying here and fighting”?

Or perhaps a third option:
- Awareness. More information available.

A definitely think there is an increase since Lockdown for some reason.

Neurodivergent? You mean those loony leftist retards who identify as trans wolves and schit?

Or... and hear me out here... we broadened the definitions of these conditions something like 5 times since the 70s and refined testing methods making them almost routine at this point leading to less people being missed with a diagnosis... (it is literally a routine set of tests done on all kids in US public schools now for example)

You do this and naturally you expect the number of people diagnosed to increase. It doesn't mean the radiation from the CIA satellites is making us all autistic or that we're any dumber/less functional than we were 50 years ago. We just know more about these conditions and our brains now.

there is no one "right" way of thinking, learning, and behaving, and differences are not viewed as deficits
This can be a slippery slope as it could be used to justify such things as pedophilia

My mom had the cure for ADHD.

Although if someone actually has a legitimate issue this "method" causes more harm than good. Don't read this as "don't ever smack a kid"... just that you can't ACTUALLY bliksem the ADHD/Autism/etc out of a child... as much as many of the previous generations believed you could.
