Do you think you are ready to handle any work situation?

eg
Your boss calls you in and informs you that your services are no longer required.
A colleague corners you and grabs one of your wobbly bits.
You get stuck in the lift at 16h30.
A colleague loses it in a big way and starts smashing equipment right next to you.

A couple of weeks ago my deputy principal hinted that with the changes in the curriculum it would difficult find room for my computer literacy classes in the new timetable because of the strict time prescriptions for each subject required by the Department of Education. --- Hence, they might have to let me go.

I was reeling with shock.

A couple of colleagues came up for me after that meeting and took him on about the insensitivity of his blunt comment. He has since apologised for his one-sided remark.

Also my principal heard about this and assured me that as long as he is principal I will have a job here.

Hopefully from next year onwards I would have completed my education qualification and would be able to apply for regular teaching positions and not have to rely solely on my computer and basic networking skills which is just sufficient for the job I'm currently in.
