I'm still running Win7 and it serves me relatively well. Nothing will ever best what XP had, but alas those days are over. Windows 10 has been nothing but a plague as far as I've seen. I don't think any amount of updating will change my mind.

Why don't you stick to XP then? Or better yet, Windows 2000? You seem to be into retro computing.

Windows 10 on my gaming PC, no issues at all.

Laptop is running Ubuntu.

Think I upgraded to Windows 10, 2 days after release.
Was excited enough to that I forced my pc to do the upgrade rather than wait for the rollout to someday reach me.

Activation was a pain when the servers were busy they way that it was, but since then, its all good.

Be sure to turn off the Windows Firewall on XP and 7 to boost the performance of your system.
