Are you using Prepaid Data Bundles (PPDB) & Why ??

On my last PPDB with Vodacom, I got the SMS (on a 500MB bundle) at about 3MB remaining (you have 3217181 bytes before ... or something like that). And then the SMS on depletion. Neither mentioned the actual OOB rate, just "traffic will be charged from your call account".

About to open another (my 3G usage depends where I'm working) ... will advise. :)

This is a very clever new way of saying that you will be charged at OOBR of R2. I had R1 credit on my account VC allowed me to connect and download mail etc. after taking 80 cents they obviously realised that they could not take anymore, as ic would says with there semi automated or fuzzy logic PPD back office system, they stopped anymore downloads. So guys this is how the PPDB system works it does have an OOBR so if you get your depletion messages disconnect and buy more PPD or you will loose your credit to Vodacom at OOBR of R2/MB. Imagine them doing this to a couple of 1000's of PPDB user, good income I would guess.
