Yes, the sun is completely eclipsed by the clouds at the moment and the rain adds a special something as well. Amazing...:D

Yip have my special "eclipse" goggles, but no sun so far, only clounds and rain, now I just look like an idiot, standing outside with these things on

I'm so used to looking into the sun it doesn't bother me anymore. I just put on my sunglasses and I'm ready to go.

My wife said that she has a perfect view in pta, lucky bast, here in sunninghill its just a marvelous bank of never ending clouds

ya we have some clouds here. i took the foil that 5 roses teabags come in, and and folded it double and looked at the sun. it is getting all eerie here.

Off the top of my head - there are about up to 5 solar eclipses a year, but only about 2 of them (if at all) may be total. They are not seen all over the world - so while there are going to eclipses, it isn't necessarily true that they be visible from where you are. Yes, it will cover part of Africa - not sure if that includes South Africa though. You may need to wait until 2011 for a partial in SA.

At least saw the tail end of it, Gothan gave me those silly glasses to look. Quite amazing though.:D

Missed. Was overcast yet again anyway. Think this is the 3rd or 4th eclipse in a row missed because of the weather :eek:
