I have recently moved to a new place in not so new suburb and applied for 2mb ADSL line from Telkom. After approximately 2 weeks I received an sms stating there is no infrastructure in my area and its all understandable, but the house im renting had previously a telephone line installed, also my neighbors have adsl. Shocked by the reply I phoned the customer support, after holding for about 40 minutes, consultant told me that apparently the physical address was wrong and they couldnt find it, however now that they have amended the address they can see the exchange is full for the area and they can put me in the queue...
Now, the other day I was passing a telkom technician, who was working by the box in the area and posted this question to him and he said its bs and I should call the support again.
Its becoming a vicious circle and Im still without a line, perhaps someone knows how I can resolve this issue?
