I have posted a question on the previous AA thread but because that thread is so far back I doubt anyone would notice.

Anyway I have an 8800GTS card, 4200+AMD x2, 1gig ram, Asus an32 sli-deluxe board, windows XP etc etc

So I should run the game fine.

However I have a strange vsync type lag, where if I move the mouse the screen moves afterwards, particularly in vehicles. Framerate is 100% though but this happens even on lower gfx settings.

Anyone have a fix??

Sorry for quick post but gtg now but will answer any q's l8er. Got latest 8800 drivers from NAG disk btw

This is caused but 'frames rendered ahead' when using vsync.

By default the setting is set to 3, but there are some third party tools that can fix this by setting it to 0.

Check www.guru3d.com

I applied the dual core patch. I wasn't able to check out guru3d as my Internet has dropped since late Friday. In fact the whole line is down even voice

Expect to be offline for a couple of years lol. Anyway the lag problem still persists on normal AA and Anistropic. If I pull those down though it does reduce the delay but makes the gfx look something aweful, like Im a short sighted person. Everything close up is fine but distance goes all screwy.

Will look to buy more RAM, although disappointed Im still using DDR400. Don't know if thats any reason to worry though, I think most people may still be using DDR400.

Is it maybe because this game is so demanding even an 8800gts can't handle on normal settings or what??

nope i think get more memory you and see

if its still a problem then maybe try different drivers, are you using xp or vista?

Im using windows XP. I got the 8800 specific drivers from the last NAG disk for XP. As soon as my DSL is back online (hopefully soon) then I can maybe try download some other drivers. When I get back home I will install original disk drivers and see what happens.

Otherwise I must get more RAM. Will do that sometime, I got C&C3 to keep me occupied until then :D awesome game, even though I never liked that type of strategy before

What screen are you using?

You mean rez?? 1024x768. LG 17" monitor.

My Internet is still down :( Telkom has phoned and been to our place apparently but when I got back the line was still dead. So can't check out those downloads.

And Im also having a problem with C&C3 Kane Ed. But thats a whole 'nutha story. Gonna post that as well.
