Arrow

Interesting fact: 3 actors are from the Spartacus series. Characters in Arrow:
Slade Wilson
That main Argus chick
Nyssa

If you're talking fandoms, Slade Wilson (Manu Bennett) was also Azog in The Hobbit and he's Allanon in The Shannara Chronicles.

Most series start off slow. I have never watched a series that caught me on the first episode. Arrow is good, just stick with it. Maybe you not into the whole comic scene. Loads of those around like Flash, Gotham and the likes. Give it at least one season if you still don't like it rather watch something else.

Haven't watched the other two. His style of acting is very similar in Spartacus and Arrow. How are the other two?

Shannara queued up for the weekend. In the Hobbit trilogy, Azog was the white Orc, the main foil to Thorin Oakenshield. The character on screen was CGI based on Bennett's physical performance but Azog was pretty awesome as the bad guy.

EDIT: The first four episodes of The Shannara Chronicles only dropped this week so it's really an unknown right now.

Reason to watch Arrow.

It is based on a comic book, so reality isn't exactly the main focus.

First started watching Arrow last week Wednesday - currently up to S03E05.

Well then we must accept that Oliver while stranded on that island he managed to build a computer outta nothing and taught himself to code/hack.

Just gone through the 1st two episodes of season one, the show is bad. The acting, direction and script it's all bad. I'm wondering if the show improves later on or shall I drop it and move to something else.?

I'm on Season 3- really enjoying it.
It's proper escapist programming, meaning there isn't really a lot to think about while watching.
However, the story does progress quite well. As you go a long you realise that perhaps the writers weren't just making it up for each episode / season.

Laurel, her father, Oliver's sister and Oliver's best friend I find really annoying and terrible at their roles. And Oliver is no better, he chews his jaw way damn too much.

The cast, script and pace of the show is what i find troubling but the plot is fine.

Hmm.. I guess it something I should watch when I have absolutely nothing to watch.

Season 1 was good for me but the latest seasons is just BAD!

Sarah twice back from the dead etc.... the show turned into a new type of "Days of our lives"

The actor who plays Ashur was also a bad guy in two episodes in Season 3

Yep you're right. Hadn't watched that episode yet.

Also, between S0307 and S0308 there is a jump in the story with the Flash crossover.

I stopped with season 3.

How many damn heroes can that city play host to? Laurel was the final straw for me.
