The ANC's electoral commission announced the names of those elected for the national executive committee (NEC) on Thursday.

Fikile Mbalula, Paul Mashatile, Tokyo Sexwale and Mathews Phosa are not on the ANC NEC, they have been punished for going against Zuma. This is bad because Malema might make a comeback with the financial backing of Tokyo and Phosa. Zuma and his camp might regret this later.

A guy I know told me that provincial chairpersons are not allowed to be members of the ANC NEC, I stand to be corrected.

The premiers are there as ex-officio members since most of them are chairperson of the province. Paul Mashatile is chair of ANC in Gauteng thats why he is also on the list.

Looks like these two ANC members need some political education. Can I recommend you and cool enroll early for principal KM's school of ANC politics. As pointed out above provincial chairmen are members by virtue of their chairmanship.
