I think i may go for this - and run full blown actual software that can actually do something, instead of silly apps/games
It seems it can work with a pen too, on the capacitive touch screen. also has multitouch. 64gig, which is not waaaaaaay overpriced. 2 x USB ports, webcam! wifi AND 3G!

running windows 7 may sounds silly to some - and i DO like the ipad interface (have an iphone) but i'd like to be able to have total freedom on what i can do with it like photoshop/etc.

R3500 if you convert it?

yes it will be a bit more but at least it's not only 1 distribution channel, like core.

it will be no-where NEAR the price of a 64GB IPad + wifi + 3G Model !

(i mean, how much do the "cheaper" grey imports cost? around R8000 for a 64GB wifi-only model?)

I will buy one when it gets HDMI... these IPad like devices will make a very nice media centre....

Now that is a tablet PC!

I think it look great. Would be nice if it could duel boot between Windows and Ubuntu.

I need one of these so that I can read PDF ebooks and watch videos in bed. Gets a thumbs up from me.

I know but from my experience you can add 50% to the dollar price to get at the price we'll pay. So more likely R5-6000. Hope I'm wrong though. Might be cool.

Well, it has USB ports which alone makes it better than the iPad.
