How does Africa work?
Well - the capital of Zimbabwe is ............ in a bank in Switzerland.
A lot of the countries have their chosen dictator-for-life plunder to his heart's content. No roads, clinics, schools, etc. Along comes Johnny Chinaman as says he'll build the roads for free, he'll even use his own workers - just for the mineral rights.
All that infrastructure is really going to make it easier to pack up Africa's value and ship it off to China.
And maybe there is something more sinister about rhino poaching. Kill off all the rhino and people from the west will stop visiting Africa - and they'll lose interest.
