Only 70 odd km's and an entire mountain range between the two.

I wonder if they have crime statistics for the effected areas before and after the system was put in place.

100Km plus, from Cape Town.

And yes, they send out weekly crime statistics via email, for a few years now. So there should be enough data for comparison. Crime has come down a lot, but it would be difficult to say why or say what caused the downward spiral.
 
Somehow the criminals always have more rights than the rest of us in SA.

The Western Cape will always be Cape Town to those beyond the mountain. Worcester is in the Boland region, they are in the Cape Winelands district, under the Breede Valley Municipality.
