This is a joke. And we wonder why cops resort to being corrupt or are not willing to help? When one of them gets killed, nothing happens. When a robber gets killed, they become the hunted.

We'l never get justice in this country. Not like this.

Is this proper English? It irks me every time I read this, and it happens quite a lot in newspapers nowadays.

Would the proper English not have been:

A policeman accused of fatally shooting a robber

?

Anyway, what is the story behind the shoot out? Why did the robber start shooting in the first place?
