Growth in property prices within two kilometres of Gautrain stations in Johannesburg and Tshwane remain volatile, consulting firm Lightstone said on Tuesday.

Since the Gautrain buses will eventually cover a fairly reasonable distance, I do not think it is THAT important for people to live within 2 or 3 km of a train station.

would still be more conviniant to just walk 2km to the station rather than wait for buses also. Afaik the buses also cost a bit extra (R6).
