Article: "I will lead this ANC" - Malema

I find this all very ominous and sadly, I don't think he is going to disappear in a hurry either.

He has the perfect credentials for a very dangerous dictator and unless he is wiped off the face of the earth, that threat will remain.

I agree this is no laughing matter. He has a very easily impressed support base. A few promises here and there that appeal to their sense of entitlement and its a done deal.

With so many top notch thugs in SA I doubt he will be king of the hill any time soon.

I will only believe this "used condom" is finished when I see him 6ft under with my own eyes - until them I don't trust him or any ANC matters related to him.

PS he can make his own coffin as it will rot sooner.

I believe him, he will definitely lead the ANC in a few years time. He has conviction and determination counting for him. For now though he will suffer tremendously after the Hawks and SARS are done with him.

Your supreme leader

Hmmm....funny...no one spot the misleading reporting.

It's not misleading - the headline was factual.

"It doesn't matter what time it takes, I will lead the African National Congress," he said.

But then he hedged his bets -

I am going to be a leader of the African National Congress

Asked what he meant by "leader", Malema said he was speaking about being on a structure like a provincial executive committee, as he had done before in his home province of Limpopo.

"I will lead this ANC. You must put it on the archive. I am going to be a leader of the African National Congress," he said a news conference in Johannesburg.

It was his first media briefing since he was expelled from the ANC on April 24. The event was arranged by the National Press Club.

"It doesn't matter what time it takes, I will lead the African National Congress," he said.

"For a diamond to shine it goes through a thorough process of being polished."

He said he had returned to Johannesburg, not because he was interested in reclaiming the league presidency alone, but because the youth league had summoned him from Limpopo, where he had been tending cattle.

I don't really care what he said, but i can spot bs reporting when i see it.If it was so clear what he said (I want to lead this anc) why the need to ask what he meant anyway.

Potentially he could get back "in" post Mangaung if he pulls the right strings.

Ambitious and brave.

Idiotic and foolish.

It takes more to lead a political party ... or to justify itself and to follow it ... than just emotion.

I wish I could bring this message across to more ANC supporters.

While some may have the emotion ... I doubt the ANC is the mechanism to the way.

Taking a look at the current oaf at the top you'd be forgiven for thinking that any idiot can run a party.

He might qualify after his upcoming jail term for tax evasion.
