No police to prevent the injustice.

Police there to prevent the justice.

Citizen justice: Man gets killed. People won't do the same again in that community. Crime stopped at its source.

Police "justice": Man is saved, arrested. Funds are given for court procedings. Man ends up in jail, and is fed by the state for years to come. Commits injustice in prison, comes out of prison and goes back to a similar way of life, burdening other people with his problem.

Citizen justice works better than police "justice".
