This is South Africa after all where all politicians who belong to the correct party are treated like demi gods for the rest of their lives. ;)

Due to "serious budgetary constraints" experienced by President Jacob Zuma's office, former president Nelson Mandela, Thabo Mbeki and FW De Klerk would have their travel and subsistence allowances cut off.

guess the cash for those new planes had to come from somewhere.
 
I doubt that these ex-big shots are costing as much as the current porkers. Zuma's last trip to the USA cost R 6 331 174.67. That is a single trip. There are countless examples this year of ridiculous amounts spent by the current oinks on travel and hotels.

Trim the current fat before you begin to focus on the biltong!
