Well if they are as stupid as those who AWB's who drove into Bophuthatswana then I can definitely believe it.

Bloem Right Wing Case Postponed

Four men accused of plotting to assassinate ANC leaders appeared briefly in the Bloemfontein Magistrate's Court on Monday, the National Prosecuting Authority said.

"The State requested that the matter be postponed to May 24 for further investigation," said regional spokesman Phaladi Shuping.

Hein Boonzaaier, 50, of Centurion, Martin Keevy, 47, of Bloemfontein, Johan Prinsloo, 49, of Naboomspruit, and Mark Trollip, 49, of Douglas, were in court for only a few minutes, he said.

They were arrested on December 16, 2012, the Day of Reconciliation, for allegedly planning to kill African National Congress leaders by detonating a bomb at the party's national elective conference in Bloemfontein.

In January, Trollip, Keevy, and Prinsloo were denied bail by magistrate Mziwonke Hinxa.

The magistrate held that aspects of the three men's health and other family considerations did not qualify as exceptional circumstances in their bail application.

Boonzaaier was granted bail of R80,000.

Accused back in Court

Martin Keevy, one of four men accused of plotting to assassinate ANC leaders, is expected to appear in the Bloemfontein Magistrate's Court on Monday.

In an appearance last month, the matter was heard in chambers because a psychiatric evaluation of Keevy, at the Free State Psychiatric Complex, had not yet been completed.

Keevy, 47, was sent to the complex for a 30-day evaluation about two months ago.

He was arrested with Hein Boonzaaier, 50, Johan Prinsloo, 49, and Mark Trollip, 49, on December 16.

They are accused of planning to kill African National Congress leaders by detonating a bomb at the party's national elective conference in Mangaung in December.

Keevy, Trollip and Prinsloo were denied bail by magistrate Mziwonke Hinxa in January. Boonzaaier was granted bail of R80,000.

The trial of one of four alleged rightwing plotters was postponed by the Bloemfontein Magistrate's Court on Tuesday.

Martin Keevy, 49, of Bloemfontein, did not appear in court, and the matter was postponed in a magistrate's chambers to July 19.

Keevy was arrested with Hein Boonzaaier, 50, of Centurion; Johan Prinsloo, 49, of Naboomspruit; and Mark Trollip, 49, of Douglas, for allegedly planning to assassinate senior ANC leaders in Mangaung in December.

Keevy was admitted for a 30-day evaluation at the Free State Psychiatric Complex last month. The report on his evaluation would only be available at his next court appearance in three weeks.

The men were arrested on December 16, 2012, the Day of Reconciliation, and also the first day of the African National Congress's national elective conference in Mangaung.

Magistrate Mziwonke Hinxa denied Trollip, Keevy, and Prinsloo bail in January. Boonzaaier was granted R80,000 bail.

The case against Boonzaaier, Trollip, and Prinsloo was postponed to August 23 for further investigations.
