the latest article on news24 indicates that sms's were sent between the husband and the driver about the cash. so this should be easy to prove if they get the network logs and\or phones that were used right ?

If I remember correctly, the use of a cellphone was also the downfall of Donovan Moodley. In his case, his presence at certain places at certain times was established using triangulation.
 
i hope they sink this st#pid b@stard and send him to a south african prison where he can get whats coming to him.

i'm talking about the husband not the driver although he deserves the same treatment.

wonder if there will be anymore twists in this case ... those cell phone records will be vital now and the drivers phone !
 
the sheer braziness of those involved astounds me. what if the driver went to the police ?

We read so many things in the media, but I never read anything about whether he was indeed a beneficiary of her life insurance, or he took out insurance on her life .............. or not.

Thats the thing. Could it be that he just didn't really like her and wanted her killed instead of going through the motions of "divorce".....Maybe more things will surface now that explains why he did what he did.

but he wasnt legally married to her. the wedding ceremony in india was just a religious thing. the legal part was supposed to take place in march next year according to the father (Anni's father)

I hope the papers in England will let the truth be known. The were the first to slam SA for yet another tourist being "brutally murdered while on honeymoon" ... meanwhile one of their nationals, sick bastard that he is got his own wife killed.

Sometime, with the pressure of culture/family members, etc, some people feel that they cannot back out of a wedding, or get a divorce.

For them, weird as it may sound, it is better to arrange their partner's death and pretend to be innocent, than to actaully get seperated/divorced. Odd, I know.

I read the latest article on the Daily Mail's website and interestingly enough, they are not allowing comments from the public on the article for "legal reasons".

Not sure what the reasons are, cos here in SA, the public is having a field day on all the local news sites.
 
Only he will be able to tell the truth about the motive. But he needs to be extradited first and that is probably why he left in such a hurry and he never even bothered to return for the trial.

Funny that, I have been reading on the UK sites regarding this and they're playing it down quite a bit and none of the sites I've read from mentioned anything about the cell phone texts which is probably the most critical piece of evidence present at the moment.

I hate the British media and how they're constantly trying to make SA look like a s***hole

Coming from our former colonisers and a country whose people must be the laziest and amongst the most immoral on the planet, it really does not count for much.
