About 3000 Kya Sands residents marched down Malibongwe Drive towards Kya Sands in a protest over housing, Gauteng police said on Friday.

When did this happen? I recall some march happening in that area on Malibongwe a week or two back but then it turned a bit nasty. Think it could've been taxi-related though.

The informal settlement there now extends from Lanseria airport to literally the other side of the road from the Lion Park and continues to grow on a daily basis. SOBs have tried to hijack me twice at that intersection.
