Article: Woman survives python attack

lucky around the leg, and not her body, or she would have been a gonner

They may as well have killed a rhino.

Hope they get arrested.

My question is, who is the owner of that snake? If it attacked a human it was hungry, why was it not fed, why is it not in a proper enclosure? Why kill the snake?

It was in Limpopo. They are wild there. Probably a small holding or something and the snake came into the house.

On this topic.

I have heard that if you remove the head of the python from where it bit you it can't squeeze you? Apparently they need to have a firm hold via their head/mouth to squeeze. People say you need to push the head away from you and then the animal can't squeeze you.

Any truth to this?

Nope seen a python squeeze a rabbit without biting it

Her nine-year-old son Jakobus Botha jumped through an open bedroom window and ran to where Prinsloo's fiancé Brent Birk was. :wtf: Birk tied a shoelace around Prinsloo's leg and took her to hospital 50km away.

DETAILS!

How the hell did he get it off?

^This

I live in cobra, python, puff adder, rinkhals country, even the occasional tree snake. The more rural the more likely you will be visited by these critters....cobra, rinkhals, puff adder is kill on sight, unfortunately, live stock, pets and people are at risk.

People call me to relocate the things.

I do it illegally. I don't give a flying sexual experience.

I have two self made items and one shop bought item I use to capture the snake without hurting it (a hook, a pipe with a pillow slip and a towel).

I capture them without getting near the sharp end or ever having to touch the smaller ones. The bigger ones (like pythons) get a towel over the head and then are just picked up and put into a container.

Anyway, no reason to kill or hurt any of them besides stupidity and ignorance.

At least I know with certainty that those who do kill or fear snakes are either dumb as a rock or ignorant as one.

I survived an attack by a piece of code once. Granted it was C++ and not python but still, it was a scary experience.
