Under his current assignment as the CEO & Managing Director of Spice VAS Africa Pte Ltd, the company has grown swiftly in several key markets in Africa – Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, DRC, South Africa, and Zambia. Spice has deployed more than 20 Value Added Service platforms in partnership with leading mobile networks including MTN, Airtel, and Safaricom, providing access to more than 150 million subscribers in Sub-Saharan Africa. Content aggregation is a key differentiator for the company, where Spice has secured exclusive licenses for premium local content from more than 400 artists and is now busy signing the majors. It is a subsidiary of S Mobility, one of India’s largest manufacturers of mobile handsets and retailers of mobility solutions. Spice VAS Africa is keen to leverage its strengths in mobile devices and cutting- edge VAS platforms by customizing them for Africa.
