I'm currently formalising a complaint with the Advertising Standard Authority to request they pull ALL Cell C's mobile internet ads and references to woooosh and other speed inferences until they can prove they have resolved their issues to the level they promised.

To support the complaint I'm attaching all the speed test results reported by users here and and referencing the complaints amassing here of:

- Slow speeds (upload and download)
- Constant disconnections
- Being forced onto Edge (piggybacking off another network)
- No responses to complaints via email, in their shops and the telltrevor.co.za website.
- etc

The lack of transparency and accountability by Cell C in this matter towards their customers is tantamount to fraud.

Now the power IS in OUR hands!

See: http://www.asasa.org.za
They continue to intentionally sell their faulty offering as something that works.

If I have to step into this thread again there will be more infractions and I will close it for good. Debate the topic and keep your comments civil.

I have four Cell C sims, as well as a couple of USB modems and my stuff is working just fine !

I had a problem with disconnects about two weeks ago in Umhlanga, but that was solved in about 36 hours.

So I am quite happy !

Checking your previous posts shows that you stay in Tamboerskloof? Thought that area didn't even have proper 3G coverage?

Does the OP know this thread was created?

It seems that it must be working for him now...

The original thread was moved and this one recreated. Some posts went with it, including mine, and did not get returned in the sanitised version.

Not quite. The original post was made in another thread, it was then moved into its own thread (this one) and after things got ugly this thread was closed.
Kingdong then made an appeal and this thread was re-opened and off-topic posts moved in this thread.

Yea, I was asking if the OP knew about this thread since he has had a response from Cell C and had not responded himself.

Very well.

Purchased my Cell C 5Gb Bundle in December.

December: Connection superfast, awesome speedtest, almost no disconnects.
January: Connection seems slower, random disconnects or connected but cannot browse.
February: Slow sluggish connection, unusable upload speeds, connection problems, horrible speedtest (in comparison with December).

November: Great + free 5GB got it on 20th ;)
December: Ok, considering not used much as I was on holiday, just emails
January: Bad speeds, disconnects etc....
1st Week February: Bad ^^
2nd Week February: Better & getting better. Less disconnections, Better than avg speeds.

CellC have been listening & looking at complaints in forum.
And this we can see by the many users who have been complaining are see some change.
I am one of them ;)
