Asking Gym Questions Again!

It looks pretty decent

Lot of cardio mixed reps drop sets etc etc. Different exercises week by week while keeping the compounds.

Should be good to follow the program! :)

I just noticed 2 brutal leg sessions in one week.......Goodluck your going to walking around like an ostrich/cowboy that week! :D

I've been walking around like that since I got motivated yesterday to start some deep leg presses yesterday. Turns out I don't have the hammer thighs I thought I had :(

Day 2 is always the worst so tomorrow should be the really fun day for you! :) What i hate about leg sessions is that it always hurts but if u skip one session then the pain is like the first time you work out ur legs in years.

My virgin active is so cool it has three floors of stairs down to the mens changing room from the weight area and then one floor up to leave the gym. This is a most enjoyable exercise after a leg session to get ur bag and go home :D

Sounds like Durbanville VA.

But seriously, once you are on a program where you squat 3 days a week, you can easily skip 2 weeks and get back in without any pain.

I have to add my five cents worth...

Nutraceuticals is my game, I supply the likes of Biogen, USN, EVOX, Muscle Science and SSN. And I can tell you that without a doubt that all their quality regarding supplements is top notch. MCC is coming down hard on supplements companies as well as retailers. Add the CPA into the mix and you've got quite a stringent industry coming into play here. Sup companies cannot afford to use inferior ingredients from suspect suppliers. And imho the only supplements that work;

Whey + Soy = Perfect Amino acid profile
Creatine MH + Vitargo
Glutamine
CLA

Okay if I am going to have a look at this plan off bodybuilding.com then I have to consider what suppliments to get, he suggests the following.

1) A Multivitamin
2) Protein Powder
3) Omega 3-6-9 Fatty Acids
4) BCAAs
5) A Pre-Workout Booster
6) And then vitargo, green tea capsules, l-carnitine, and yohimbie (Do I even need these)

Follow THIS program exactly and you will get the results that you want.

I did the 1st half of this program a year ago. Although I did not really follow a eating plan I must admit that this program works really well. I got some pretty good results IMO. Don't be fooled by the relatively easy week 1 and 2. It gets Quite challenging.

Did you get the supplements Tman? :)

I am also confused by a few things some of the instructions are a bit muddled.

1) Do you do the same exercises twice a day?
2) I am not exactly sure If I can gym twice a day, and I cannot go in the mornings although I am free in afternoons?

Okay so I started on day 1 "legs". I feel like such an idiot right now  I've been at gym for quite a while now and I had no idea how to use some of the machines, I wanted to ask my usual trainer guy to help me out but he wasn't in today, and so it took me a while to get the machines, but the looks I got from the peeps in the body building section... I feel like really demotivated now, I haven't been given that look since I was 63kgs heavier  - I completed my day 1 and now I'll phone the gym first to make sure he's in before I do the next step tomorrow. FML.

Why not ask another staff member? Or rather just ask any guy almost, most will be more than happy to help I am sure.

I will look strange at someone doing something funny, but unless I am asked for advice or to help, I usually leave people to their own, since they feel one intrude or are rude if you offer help by yourself.

I suspect a lot of those looks were in your mind. You need to just develop a skin when you go gymming, forget other people are even there.

btw, I've been going to the gym a few years now. Whenever I go to another branch of VA because of whatever reason, I still get interesting looks on leg days. Doing powerlifting style exercises instead of bodybuilding exercises, people are not used to how you do proper squats and deadlifts with heavy weights. Best is even when you hear them comment on how you do the exercise.

Im not too big on Supplements...

I did use some Glutamine that helped with recovery, but as far as Protein etc goes, I didnt bother...

I did find watching the short 10min video before each days training reaaaally motivated me.

When I started gymming I did also not know how to use some of the equipment. JUST ASK!

99% of guys in the gym will gladly show you how to perform an exercise correctly, if someone had to ask me I would actually take it as a compliment, cuz this oke thinks I know what im doing. :p
