Just installed the H110M-DGS/D3, only comes with onboard DVI, only works DVI to DVI, i tried a VGA to DVI converter and no luck anyone else experienced this as well? if so why though?

That's digital only and does not carry the analog signals (pins C1-C5) required for VGA.
