Assassins Creed 2 - Invalid key

Hi, wonder if anyone can give some advice.

I bought assassins creed 2 (PC dvd) for my son (birthday present), but when I installed the game, the system informed me at the logon screen that the cd key has been used already.

I purchased the game from Incredible Connection (27/01/2011) , was still sealed in plastic and I have the proof of payment.

Do you agree that Incredible Connection should give me anothet copy with a different key or is there another solution?

Call Megarom on 0861 987 363 and give them the info.

They'll probably tell you to go back to IC.

A keygen was prob used and generated your CD key (if its online activation)
 
These things do happen, you have proof of purchase and the original box, so you should be able to sort it out via the shop (terrible corruption), chances are it was stolen by an employee.... was it a completely sealed game, or did they have to get the disk out of one of their drawers?
 
IC once offered to provide me with a keygen when the serial didn't work. So much for trying to go legal ...
 
Mantis, thanks for the advice. Megarom gave me a swop out code and IC gave me a new sealed game that worked.

The manager told me that this happens now and again. They were not even surpised about this.
