Hi there,

I have 2 Blackview MP200 i5 mini PC's and 2 LG 24MP400 Monitors. For some reason these does not work together. Connecting the Blackview MP200 to a Asus monitor then it works. What could the issue be here? Compatibility?

Things I have done now:

1. Received the latest firmware/bios update from Blackview support, no luck.
2. Change HDMI cables, no luck (used both the HDMI cables from the monitor and Blackview)
3. I convert the HDMI to VGA from the MP200 to the LG Monitor, no luck
4. Displayport from MP200 to LG Monitor HDMI, no luck.

What else can be the fault here?

Just to understand:

Asus monitor works but LG does not. Have you tried connecting the LGs to a different Pc/laptop to see if they are working?

That is correct. Asus monitor works. With another PC connected to the LG it works, very strange issue here.

My feeling is that the signal coming from the Blackview PC is not compatible for some reason with the LG monitor. That is correct @rh1 both PC's and LG monitors.

@UB40 not sure what the resolution is, but I cannot get in the Bios settings when powering on. Just a black screen.

Ah ok, so you're stuck before Windows even starts up. I'm going to hand this ticket over to @Rouxenator to look into and get back to you.

HDMI is digital. VGA is analog so that would never work.

Displayport is likely not being converted properly.

Which is there no direct HDMI to HDMI? What does the working monitor use?

@Pulserider

Maybe a long shot but this would be my next thing to try.

Can you connect the Asus monitor via displayport and boot into windows and then connect the LG via HDMI as the secondary monitor.
If yes then check the resolution and refresh rate settings for the LG while it's connected as secondary.

I just checked now both the Asus and LG monitor only has a VGA/HDMI port. So I am stuck here.

I do HDMI to HDMI directly, but does not work on the LG monitors.

I have tested now a previous Blackview MP200 I have with the same LG monitor and that is working fine. So something from the new ones does not work.

Dual Monitor Setup: How to Connect Two Monitors to Laptop - Kevin Stratvert

Want to connect multiple monitors to your laptop? It's easier than you think! In this video, I’ll show you step-by-step how to set up dual or even triple monitors for your laptop, whether you’re duplicating your display or extending it across multiple screens.

What You’ll Learn:
✅ Check your laptop and monitor ports – Find out what you need to connect directly without extra hardware.
✅ Simple direct connections – Use HDMI, USB-C, or adapters to set up two monitors.
✅ Using an HDMI splitter – Perfect for duplicating the same screen on multiple displays.
✅ Extend your display with SplitXtend – Get independent screens for multitasking, gaming, or working efficiently.
✅ Configure your monitors in Windows – Customize layouts, resolution, refresh rate, and more.

My guess is there is some weird mismatch between what the monitor is requesting over EDID (a specific resolution and refresh rate) and what the mini PC is sending in response.

Plug the mini PC back into the Asus and try forcing it to 1920x1080 @ 60Hz on the Intel Graphics Control Panel

What bothers me is that this is even happening before Windows is loaded, but maybe I could force it in Windows to 60Hz and when it gets to this boot process it load atleast into Windows.
