Assistance on Installing the Kyocera iBurst Modem Drivers needed

I have down loaded the sourceforge ib wireless broadband driver but when I run 'make' I get the following errors:

‘struct net_device’ has no member named ‘priv’

Apparently I need to install this to get an interface to pass to the Roaring Penguin RP-PPPoE client.

Apparently some of the deprecated network API was removed in newer kernels, as detailed here:

However, when using the patch provided, I still get the following errors:

I can't help here, but I do want to ask: is this the iBurst PCMCIA device, or the desktop UTD? I once tried to get the UTD to work with Linux over USB, I gave up 10 minutes later and used the Ethernet connection instead.
