I am using VFS Global for Schengen visa applications. Anyone with experience of manoeuvering their website for bookings?

I loaded the info of all the visa applicants. When it comes to selecting a date, I chose one slot for all 3 applicants. It gives an error when I get to the payment section though, because it seemingly wants separate time slots for each applicant.

Is that how it works with them? We are 2 adults and a child and this means that I have to go to Fourways three times instead of the family submitting their applications together during one appointment.

Any way around this?

Thanks

AFAIK, you book one slot for the 'main' applicant, and everyone goes with you to the same appointment.
Someone pointed me to this in their FAQ, which I did not notice before:

If you are part of a family or group, you’ll have to book individual appointments for each member of the family or group.

FFS.

Sorry, I didn't explain it properly: yes, you book separate appointments for each family member, hopefully all on the same day. But you all go to the first one together.

At least this has worked for some people, I think it depends on which office it is.

Thanks very much. A last question - does it only take one trip to sort everything out (apart of course from collecting visas once they are granted)? Their website is confusing .... somewhere they mention the appointment is for biometrics, and after that, you get another appointment for the actual application ... :(

Both times my wife has had to get a Schengen, it was only one appointment, where she submitted all the docs and had the biometrics done.

Choose the option to have the passports sent back to you via courier, much easier that way.

Thanks @Naks !

My wife and I did ours 4 weeks ago in Pretoria.

Made two separate bookings on the same day couldnt do it on the same slot.

When I arrived they saw her name as well and told me to give her a call to come through to process hers at the same time. Both visas sent together both processed and collected same time.

I also confirm one trip to drop all docs off one trip to collect everything.

Also ensure you have everything with you dont bother missing something. and my oh my have the applications become expensive the two of us cost R5.5k
