Hi all, on the job market and finding it hard to get a foot in anywhere seems to be about who you know and not your skills and experience anymore and the sad thing is that I actually know no one, packed a bag and came up to JHB 5 months ago and have not had much luck, anyone out there in a position to assist? Previous experience IT Training( hardware, software and technica) IT Operations Manager, Provincial Training Manager, Provincial IT Manager and branch manager. Any assistance will really go a long way.

Find a job before leaving your current one.

Anyways, brush up your CV. It's the first point of contact.

I assume you have checked the common job listing sites?

There is no current job so there is nothing to leave :-(
Oh yes properly polished and targeted to relevant to the applications I am sending for.
 
I can't help with a job but wish you luck OP. You did a brave thing coming to Jhb and deserve a break.

Thanks and I really do its been a huge struggle, slept in my car for a week, all 5 tyres were stole woke up in the morning at it was laying on bricks, sorted that then shortly after that 2 tyres were stabbed by car guards, on was stabbed 8 times the other 4, had to make a plan there...but I am not giving up!

That is more than likely the biggest reason why nobody wants to hire.

Everyone wonders why you are jobless.
