Hi guys

I get the following errors *a lot* when using the asterisk console:

Code:
[Dec 14 13:54:17] WARNING[2727]: chan_sip.c:1817 __sip_xmit: sip_xmit of 0x9aeed90 (len 396) to 192.168.1.200:5060 returned -2: Network is unreachable

I assume its the asterisk box trying to reach some network, possibly one behind a router. In the sip.conf all the extensions are set to: host = dynamic
So I don't really know where its coming from.
We have a whole building running off this box with different companies connected to it.

Is there a way that I can see which extension/number is giving me this error?
So far no one has complained that their phone isn't working and I've been seeing this error for over a month now :p

Oh and "sip show peers" isn't showing the address in question...

A sip_xmit is a reply from the asterisk box, should be read as "transmit". I am guessing your asterisk box is not on the 192.168.1.0/24 range?

Most likely cause would be a improperly configured phone advertised its NAT incorrectly in the "from" descriptor in the SIP header for which there is no route. asterisk takes whatever it is told via the header as the truth even if it could be totally wrong. I wouldn't worry about it.

Yea, I figured it couldn't be too big of a deal. Our clients are real quick at moaning when something goes wrong ;)
I actually just want to get rid of it as that message pops up every second, annoying the hell out of me when I'm trying to do things :P

Oh well, I think I'll sit one night and drop them one by one to see which phone it could be. Maybe next year...
