This is great! I installed over the weekend... The gui has limited functionality but it gets you up and running in under an hour.

According to the following forum posting on the Digium AsteriskNOW forum, most people are still sticking with TrixBox.
FreePBX will include more features than Asterisk GUI

Digium offers a full commercial product called Asterisk Business Edition retailing for $1000
http://www.digium.com/en/products/software/abe.php

Had hassles with the xServer install on my Dell Optiplex GX260, although I did force
the resolution to 1024x768 with the following at bootup
: linux resolution=1024x768 as well as 800x600 and 640x480

AsteriskNow is an interesting GUI implementation that is going to be really good at doing what it is designed to do. The beauty of it is that if the Digium GUI becomes equal to or surpasses the FreePBX interface, then trixbox can give the user the choice of which one they want to use.

However, Digium still "officially" says that the GUI will NOT have all of those features and it is going to be up to the open source community to add them. So it remains to be seen if that will begin to happen soon.
