Is anyone on Astra Web experiencing spikes in their downloads. My downloads are constantly spiking from 200k-400k and sometimes they go down to 0. Im using grabbit and Axxess uncapped.
 
no offence dude but i wouldnt blame astraweb for that. i'd blame... the isp possibly, maybe IS for providing the slightly unstable service, maybe telkom for monopolising the market so we're forced to use these sattelites, maybe the country in which we live for not providing a better internet service. anyway, like i said, no offence to you or anyone else. thats just my rant. i doubt its astraweb with the problem though. i hope it gets better for u :)
 
Are you using kaspersky, or some other AV that might be interfering with the downloads? Turn off the e-mail and text monitoring in Kaspersky!
 
+1 Gary. also check for firewalls, i had a problem the other day with a firewall called norman interfering with pings and stuff.
 
Yeah it was the anti virus, changed it and its fine now
