I purchased the above modem router about two weeks ago and am having problems with the wireless connection to my laptop. It keeps disconnecting. Has anyone suggestions how to fix the problem. I am definitely not a buff when it comes to these things.

Do you have a hdd in USB port? Try setting the USB 3 down to USB 2. The hi speed USB interfere with wifi. It's a bug that they don't tell you. You basically end up with USB 2.5 It is hidden away in a sub menu.

I don't have an hdd plugged in to a usb port, still having problems disconnecting. ASUS says reset the router which didn't help. When I troubleshoot problems it says "Windows could not automatically detect this network's proxy server". We are not on a proxy server either at home or work office.
Very frustrating, has anyone any answers please.
