ASUS DSL-N14U - Fibre Capable?

Hi all,

Currently have a Telkom provided Hauwei Huawei HG532F router and would like to make use of my ASUS router.

What would I need to do to get this router to work on my 10 meg connection?

Nope.

Only has an Rj-11 WAN port (DSL).

No RJ-45 WAN or Fibre port.

It's a DSL modem/ router, it won't work.
Your line provider usually installs an ONT for you, this is essentially your "modem" portion. From there you can still use the N14U for WiFi/ routing access if you want.
 
Thanks, so would I need to configure it any differently if I plug it into the ONT?
 
Thanks, would I need to use the Huawei router at all? Or just straight ONT to Asus router?

My ASUS DSL-N55U is also an ADSL modem, but ASUS released a firmware update that allows you to use the one LAN port as a WAN port. So now I'm using it with my Fibre connection. Might just be the same with this one, but have not checked.
 
The DSL-N17U might be worth a check

You still need an ONT box though, right?
