Hi all,
Not sure how many of you have an eee pad. But have you noticed any increased battery drain i.e. Shorter battery life on the tablet with newer firmware! I remember it used to last 2 days straight with wifi and light use. My use patterns havent changed too much but its down to a day now! Switching wifi off helps but while wifi is on the drain is higher!

Ive got firmware 8.6.21

Dont you mean 8.6.5.21 ?

Anyway, nope my battery still last 4/5 days. Have you maybe changed brightness or maybe you have some application like Google Maps running in the background waiting for a prompt.

I know Google Maps had an issue some updates back that once it updated kept on running waiting for a user to accept the policy change. I normally run Watchdog on my android devices just for this purpose, so that it can tell me when an app is using more CPU cycles than what it should.

Edit: Oh, there is a whole bunch of Eee Pad owners here. See http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showthread.php/324059-ASUS-Eee-Pad-transformer?highlight=asus+eee+pad
