ASUS Fonepad 7 email problem

Helped someone to set up their email account on the said device. Used pop.domain.net and port 110 with the correct user ID and password. Can send email but not receive, gives no error message, icon just spins for a while and stop. I've configured email on other devices many a time but never seen this peculiar problem, any ideas?

Try a mail app like MailDroid or K9 Mail.
