have a look at the hp 8710w series. there is a new one out with blu-ray and a quadro 3200m (which is the exactly the same as the 8800m perfomance wise - you can get drivers online that make it work the same).

i have the older one with the quadro 1600m, which is the same at 8700m gt.

the laptop is so well built it is insane, the screen is flawless and it is so powerful. i run can run crysis on med spec dx 10 (yes on a laptop) but the 8800m will do much better).

equivalent pcs here like this asus really do not compare. oh, and it has a 3 year warranty. what more can i say ;)

That price is a bit out, especially now that the dollar is going mad.
