Is that perhaps from Brilliant Tech?

You can get the 15.6" version (eg. N56VZ-S4420P), which has the same specs, for about R13.5k locally.

You guys mention Brilliant Tech, are they reliable? Would you recommend buying from them?

Well it's from my fathers company, it just caught my eye while I was skimming through the pricelist.. I think I might go for It! How about the graphics? I've never had Nvidia, always been a radeon fan.

Thanks!

Would you suggest any other laptops from Asus, Lenovo, Samsung, Toshiba or Fujitsu?

I got a lenovo thinkpad w530 recently, LOVE this machine. Its not pretty but it is built like a tank and runs like a rocket... I wont do Dell ever again, never.

I was also looking at that Asus but I was worried about the support.

???
Asus have brilliant support.
Most Asus laptops come with a repair collection and delivery service.

@WesleyR I would avoid brillianttech, they have been found to be importing refurbished laptops and selling as new, read here:

I have that exact same laptop - N76VZ. I stuck a Vortex 4 SSD in it and it's lightning fast. As for graphics performance - adequate for my needs. I play SC 2 on full ultra graphics without any problems and the latest Hitman on decent graphics as well.

I will say this - their support is SHOCKING!! My power cable failed 3 months in - already a worrying sign - and it took them more than a week to send me a 'loan unit'! This on my business laptop leaves me pretty crippled. Also, 2 weeks after that - still no news about what's wrong with my power cable or when I'm supposed to get a 'proper replacement'.

As much as I like my laptop, this will likely be me last Asus product. HelloPeter doesn't have that much more positive to say about them either.

just got mine today, busy swopping one of the drives for hyper x ssd and waiting for my 2x8gb memory modules.
