Hey all

Does anyone know how to correct the problem of static when you plug a mic into the jack... As I tried to test my new headphones and all i get is static even when recording just to test... I also tried my old headphones which still work and i get the same thing.... how does one fix a problem like that??? oh and I tried the front panel mic input and that also did the same thing....

My mic on my Asus mobo works 110%. Sure its not the mic that's the problem?

i would also say its the mic that is not good quality, you cannot waist money when buying a mic, the cheap ones just dont work..

i would advise you to dl the new sound drivers for you motherboard/sound card and see if that solves the problem.

Could also be noise induced by other components in the system. On my previous machine I'd get hiss and hum on my speakers because of the graphics card and a fan.
