Asus P5LD2 - Deluxe plus noise

Hi,

Hope somebody can help me before I go mad. I have a Asus P5LD2 - deluxe motherboard with a P3 3.0 D processor. My problem is that my machine makes one hellava noise to the point that it drones out my headphones

Does anyone know how I can shut it up next to taking to it with a hammer

My motherboard has the AIQuiet Technology which is on but doesn't help

The machine seems to control the speed of the CPU fan based on how much processing it is doing and this is what makes all the noise

Any help would be gr8ly appreciated

Make sure that the little cpu fan wire is not touching the cpu fan. That usually makes one helluva noise.
